[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Security specialist ADT Caps announced on the 24th that it will expand its product lineup of non-face-to-face access security solutions.
ADT Caps offers various types of non-face-to-face access security solutions. These include ▲'Caps Smart Check,' an access security solution that allows easy facial recognition and fever check through contactless authentication ▲'Caps Smart Work-in,' a combination of facial recognition and speed gate ▲'Caps Mobile Access Card,' an access authentication service using smartphones.
In response to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, ADT Caps upgraded the product functions of Caps Smart Check and Mobile Access Card and expanded their usage scope to strengthen the product lineup.
Caps Smart Check enhanced its fever check function and improved user convenience by introducing three new products: ▲Standard standalone ▲Medical device certified standalone ▲Signage type.
The standard standalone model features wireless (WiFi) communication, providing high-temperature fever warnings and mask non-wearing alerts conveniently via a dedicated customer application on smartphones.
The medical device certified standalone model has received medical device manufacturing certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, enabling accurate body temperature measurement. It is suitable for hospitals, pharmacies, and nursing facilities that require precise fever check management.
The signage type offers digital signage functions for promotional and informational video display on a large LCD kiosk with the highest resolution. Administrators can choose to enable SMS alarm functions for individuals with high fever.
The Caps Mobile Access Card, which allows convenient and secure access via a smartphone app without a physical card, has also enhanced its convenience features.
Depending on the card design, Caps Mobile Access Card offers ▲'M1,' a basic mobile access card ▲'M2,' which allows customized designs such as employee IDs and student IDs. The usage scope has been expanded to include large buildings, corporations, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises and SOHO stores.
An ADT Caps official stated, "Due to the impact of COVID-19, demand for non-face-to-face access security services has increased, and the desired services vary by workplace, so we have significantly strengthened the usage scope and functions. We plan to continue providing various new ICT-based non-face-to-face security products and services."
