[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The delivery workers' union has claimed that the social agreement, which stipulated that delivery companies and agencies would be responsible for sorting tasks, is not being implemented.

The National Delivery Workers' Union of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions Service Federation held a press conference on the 11th in front of the CJ Logistics headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, stating, "The agencies at Hwaseong Terminal and Chuncheon Terminal are not taking responsibility for the costs involved in deploying sorting personnel."

According to the union, agencies affiliated with Hwaseong Terminal deploy sorting personnel only during certain hours, and agencies affiliated with Chuncheon Terminal do not bear any additional costs beyond the sorting personnel expenses paid by CJ Logistics, resulting in no reduction in delivery workers' labor hours. It is also reported that there is no deployment of sorting personnel at direct and indirect terminals.

The union also raised suspicions that some agency managers are shifting tax burdens onto workers and are attempting to undermine the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions delivery workers' union by turning it into a minority union.

The union emphasized, "As the primary contractor, CJ Logistics must thoroughly manage and supervise agency corruption and the failure to implement the social agreement."
