At around 6:50 PM on the 5th, a fire broke out at the Daeungjeon Hall of Naejangsa Temple in Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do, with flames soaring. / Yonhap News
원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] At around 6:50 PM on the 5th, a fire was reported at the Daeungjeon Hall of Naejangsa Temple in Jeongeup-si, Jeonbuk.
The fire department issued a Level 1 response and is currently extinguishing the fire on site. So far, no casualties have been reported.
The fire report was received by the police at around 6:35 PM and by the Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters at 6:37 PM on the same day.
It was a suspected arson report stating, "Someone set fire to the Daeungjeon Hall."
The police are reported to have apprehended the arson suspect at the scene.
