Swiss derma brand Cetaphil, with a 74-year history, launched a new mild, low-irritant 'Soothing Gel Cream' for sensitive skin on March 1st.
As the COVID-19 pandemic has prolonged, the number of consumers struggling with sensitive skin as well as skin troubles caused by mask-wearing has increased, raising interest in skin soothing. The beauty industry is also paying attention to providing solutions for sensitive skin.
Cetaphil, together with Kantar Worldpanel, conducted a four-month survey on the skin condition after COVID-19 with over 1,000 women nationwide. Most respondents expressed concerns about sensitive skin, such as redness or itching caused by external stimuli, and 60% of women nationwide identified themselves as having sensitive skin.
Based on this survey, Cetaphil developed a new product to offer a soothing solution for the growing concerns of sensitive skin consumers, which is the #CetaphilSoothingGelCream launched on March 1st.
This mild, low-irritant gel-type cream texture absorbs refreshingly into the skin while maintaining moisture for a long time, allowing anyone to enjoy it daily regardless of the season. Cetaphil’s unique Moisture Lock Technology and exfoliation care technology are applied to instantly care for flaky, white skin and make dry, rough skin soft and moist. It can also be used on dry body skin simultaneously.
The new Cetaphil Soothing Gel Cream is available in two sizes: a convenient 85g for easy portability anytime and anywhere, and a large 226g size for the whole family to use, allowing users to choose according to their needs.
Cetaphil’s ‘Soothing Gel Cream’ will be available starting February 22nd with a first-come, first-served purchase event on the Cetaphil Smart Store, and from March 1st at Olive Young online & offline stores, Gmarket, 11st, and KakaoTalk Gift.
Kim Jung-yeon, Manager at Cetaphil, said, “The newly launched ‘Soothing Gel Cream’ was developed based on consumer needs, and we want it to meet consumers’ desires for sensitive skin soothing and be a face & body product that can be used anytime soothing is needed.” She also expressed her aspirations, saying, “We expect this product launch to further elevate Cetaphil’s brand status as the No.1 body moisturizer brand.”
