NHIS Opens Recruitment for 37 Open and Specialized Personnel in Big Data and More

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The National Health Insurance Service announced on the 3rd that it will publicly recruit 37 open positions and specialists in 2021 to support policies strengthening health insurance coverage through the recruitment of outstanding private sector talent and to enhance organizational expertise.

The recruitment fields include three open positions: Head of Data Management Department, Head of Business Utilization Support Department, and Head of Cost Analysis Department, as well as 10 specialist fields such as Big Data, Lawyer, Pharmacist, Fund Management, Fund Management Strategy, Financial Analysis (Statistics), Actuary, Public Health, Labor Market Research, and Health and Medical Statistics Research. Applications will be accepted online until 10 a.m. on the 17th of this month.

The selection process will proceed in the order of document screening, personality test, interview, physical examination, and background check. Final successful candidates are scheduled to be appointed sequentially starting next month.

An official from the NHIS said, “We look forward to many talented individuals who will help develop the health insurance system together.”

Meanwhile, including the 57 people hired last year, a total of 150 specialists have been recruited since Chairman Kim Yong-ik took office.
