The farm, located 17.4 km from Hope Farm in Gyeongju where highly pathogenic AI occurred on the 25th, raises 10,900 quails.
After receiving reports of decreased laying rates and mortality, Gyeongbuk Province tested the deceased birds and confirmed the detection of H5 subtype avian influenza antigen. Currently, the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency is conducting a detailed examination, and the test results are expected to take 1 to 2 days.
If the detailed examination confirms highly pathogenic avian influenza, all poultry raised at the farm will be culled. It is known that there are no commercial-scale poultry farms within a 3 km radius.
