[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 31st that it held a non-face-to-face online year-end ceremony to prevent the spread of COVID-19, providing a time for communication to wrap up the year and prepare for the new year.

The year-end ceremony was conducted in the order of non-face-to-face greetings among employees, awarding commendations to exemplary, outstanding, and provincial development contributors from higher institutions, and a year-end address. Employees participated in the ceremony through the office's internal broadcast.

Governor Kim San said, "It was a meaningful time to be able to spend the last moments of the year with employees through the online year-end ceremony," and added, "I appreciate the hard work of employees who have devoted themselves day and night due to COVID-19. As the recent spread of infectious diseases is severe, please refrain from year-end and New Year gatherings and strictly follow personal quarantine rules such as mandatory mask-wearing to protect a clean Muan."

Meanwhile, Muan County plans to hold the 2021 New Year's opening ceremony through an online internal broadcast as well.
