원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] On the morning of the third day of the search for the sunken 32 Myeongminho off the northwest coast of Jeju Port, at around 10:26 AM on the 31st, a body presumed to be a crew member of the overturned vessel was found in the waters in front of the terminal gate at Pier 3 of Jeju Port.
According to Coast Guard officials, the discovered body is presumed to be a Korean national (chef), and was lifted ashore around 10:44 AM for identification.
Meanwhile, on the 29th, an accident occurred about 2.6 km northwest off Jeju Port where the 32 Myeongminho (39 tons) registered in Jeju Hallim capsized. The Jeju Coast Guard has mobilized all available forces for emergency rescue and has been conducting intensive search operations both on land and at sea.
