The "Blended Vocational Education Expo" submitted by the Gyeongbuk Office of Education was selected as a winner by achieving excellent results through (1) expert evaluation and (2) nationwide online and mobile voting among 845 cases submitted nationwide.

The Vocational Education Expo is held annually with the purpose of improving the image of vocational high schools and high school graduate employment, as well as on-site recruitment. Especially this year, due to COVID-19, it was held as the nation's first blended expo on July 15-16.

At that time, conducted in a mixed online and offline format, it attracted great attention with 50,000 viewers watching the live video broadcast. At the offline on-site recruitment hall, 50 companies participated and hired 654 vocational high school students through on-site interviews.

Superintendent Lim Jong-sik said, "This expo presented a pioneering model nationwide by holding the nation's first blended expo through proactive administration by the Gyeongbuk Office of Education amid the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis," and added, "In 2021, we will showcase an even more complete expo based on this year's experience and know-how."
