[Breaking] COVID-19 Deaths Increased by 17 Yesterday... Total 773

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 25th at midnight that the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases was 1,241. Since the first domestic COVID-19 case was reported on January 20, this is the first time the number of confirmed cases has exceeded 1,200.

By infection route, 1,216 cases were from local transmission, and 25 cases were imported. Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases increased to 54,770 (5,245 imported cases). Additionally, the current number of severe and critical patients is 311, with 17 deaths reported on the day, bringing the total cumulative deaths to 773 (fatality rate 1.41%).
