7 New Confirmed Cases in Gangneung and 4 in Donghae, Including 2 Overseas Entrants

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Seven and four additional COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Gangneung-si and Donghae-si, Gangwon Province, respectively.

The Gangneung City health authorities stated, "One person in their 30s, two in their 50s, two in their 60s, and two in their 70s residing in Gangneung were tested at a local screening clinic and confirmed positive on the 20th."

The city health authorities estimated that among the confirmed cases, one was infected through contact with a Donghae-si confirmed case, and the other six were infected through contact with another Gangneung confirmed case.

The city health authorities are conducting epidemiological investigations, including tracing the movements of these individuals.

Meanwhile, four additional COVID-19 cases were also reported in Donghae-si.

According to the city health authorities, the four confirmed cases include one middle school student, two overseas entrants, and one general citizen.

As of 4 PM on the day, the cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Donghae-si stands at 63.
