Cumulative Confirmed Cases Related to Golf Courses Reach at Least 17

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Additional confirmed COVID-19 cases have emerged related to a golf course in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, where a cluster infection occurred.

The Pocheon City health authorities announced on the 20th, "Five employees and one employee family member at Golf Course A located in Ildong-myeon, Pocheon, have tested positive."

According to the city, in addition to two acquaintances who had contact with Golf Course A employees, one employee and one employee family member from Incheon and Seoul respectively also tested positive, bringing the total confirmed cases related to Golf Course A to at least 17.

Previously, the COVID-19 cluster infection at Golf Course A spread after employee B first tested positive on the 17th in Jongno-gu, Seoul, followed by five employees and one employee family member testing positive.

Golf Course A has suspended operations, and no confirmed cases have been reported among customers. Health authorities are conducting epidemiological investigations to trace the movements of confirmed cases and identify contacts.
