LS Cable & System Signs 234.3 Billion KRW Subsea Cable Construction Contract with KEPCO

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jun-hyung] LS announced on the 17th that its subsidiary LS Cable & System has signed a contract worth 234.3 billion KRW with Korea Electric Power Corporation (hereinafter KEPCO) for the 'Wando-Jeju #3 HVDC Submarine Cable Construction Project.'

This project is an initiative by KEPCO to ensure stable power supply to Jeju and reinforce the power grid in the southern part of Jeollanam-do. LS Cable & System will supply and install 150kV HVDC submarine cables and associated accessories.

The contract amount represents 5.05% of last year's consolidated sales (4.6028 trillion KRW), and the contract period is until December 16, 2023.
