According to Sky News UK on the 6th (local time), Tom Dunford, who lives on the southern Isle of Wight, discovered the metal pillar while taking a walk on the beach that morning. The discovered metal pillar is about 3 meters tall and is said to have shone like a mirror.

The witness Dunford said, "I had heard about the metal pillar, so I recognized it as soon as I saw it," adding, "It seems like someone played a prank."

The mysterious metal pillar was first found last month in the desert of Utah, USA, and has since been spotted in various parts of the world. On the 27th of last month, it appeared in the mountainous region of Romania but disappeared after a few days, and earlier this month, it was found at the summit of Pine Mountain in California, USA.

However, the metal pillar found at the summit of Pine Mountain in California was revealed to have been erected by four local artists, and a local reporter who found the pillar in Romania reported that it appeared to be the work of a local person with poor welding skills.

Meanwhile, The New York Times (NYT) reported that similar metal pillars were found in the Fremont Street Experience area in Las Vegas and in Los Padres National Park in California.
