Dongui University to Conduct 2021 Academic Year Early Admission Interviews Online
Upper Body and Frontal View Required... School Uniforms Prohibited, Audio and Editing Effects Penalized
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dong-Eui University will conduct next year's early admission interview exams online due to the resurgence of COVID-19.
Dong-Eui University (President Han Su-hwan) announced on the 4th that the student record comprehensive (Outstanding School Life) early admission interview exams for the 2021 academic year, scheduled for December 12 and 13, will be held as non-face-to-face interviews.
On the same day at 2 p.m., Dong-Eui University announced the first-stage successful candidates of the student record comprehensive (Outstanding School Life) early admission and individually notified examinees about the online interview procedures.
The interviews will be conducted for all 1,872 examinees: 775 candidates from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Business, and College of Korean Medicine on the 12th, and 1,097 candidates from the College of Medical, Health and Life Sciences, College of IT Convergence Components and Materials Engineering, College of Engineering, College of ICT Engineering, and College of Arts, Design and Physical Education on the 13th.
Accordingly, the first-stage successful candidates of the student record comprehensive (Outstanding School Life) early admission must upload a video recording file of under 5 minutes on the Dong-Eui University admissions website from 2 p.m. on the 4th until noon on the 14th.
The video must be recorded front-facing, showing only the upper body of the applicant, and wearing a school uniform is not allowed.
Kim Sam-yeol, Director of Admissions and Public Relations at Dong-Eui University, stated, “Evaluation will be based on clear motivation for application, specific academic plans after university admission, problem-solving abilities, and activities related to the applied department.”
The university added, “Personal information such as name, high school attended, and parents' occupations must not be disclosed. Videos edited with subtitles, background music, effects, or activity photos may be penalized in evaluation.”
The initial successful candidates for the student record comprehensive (Outstanding School Life) early admission, general high school curriculum admission, regional talent curriculum admission, and regional talent comprehensive admission will be announced on the admissions website at 2 p.m. on the 24th.
