Suncheon City Joins 'Collecting 1 Million Masks' to Practice Warm Financial Support

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] Shinhan Bank announced on the 2nd that it will support Suncheon City, which is implementing social distancing level 2 due to a rapid increase in confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), with 100,000 masks.

Suncheon City raised its social distancing to level 2 starting from the 20th, the first in the country, as confirmed cases surged due to infections in daily life.

Shinhan Bank strongly sympathizes with the purpose of the 'Collecting 1 Million Masks' campaign to deliver masks to 280,000 citizens of Suncheon City in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak and decided to donate to fulfill its role as a social enterprise.

A Shinhan Bank official said, "We decided to support masks to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and alleviate the anxiety of Suncheon citizens," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our role as a corporate citizen in times of disaster and practice warm finance continuously."
