The Yeosu Police Station in Jeonnam announced on the 13th that they have arrested and are investigating A (50) on charges of attempted murder for stabbing a woman in her 50s in the chest and arm with a weapon while she was walking.
A is accused of stabbing B (57) with a weapon in front of an apartment in Singi-dong, Yeosu City, at around 9:20 p.m. on the 11th, leaving her in critical condition.
B is receiving treatment at a university hospital in Gwangju, but is reported to be in a life-threatening condition.
The police secured footage showing A fleeing in a car parked near the crime scene and tracked him down, arresting A at a motel in Gwangyang and transferring him to Yeosu.
The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant after investigating the exact motive for the crime with A.
