[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is making every effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 community infections as five additional confirmed cases related to a local cafe were reported on the 13th.

The cafe was immediately disinfected on-site on the 6th, has been closed since the 7th, and all employees have been placed under self-quarantine.

From the 29th of last month to the 5th of this month, the district sent out a total of five disaster alert text messages guiding about 2,500 tests to visitors of the cafe.

Through this, a full investigation is being conducted on 721 confirmed visitors, and as of 5 p.m. on the same day, there are ▲14 positive cases ▲535 negative cases ▲172 cases pending testing or in the process of receiving guidance.

Director Mohyun Hee of the Health Center said, “As this is a serious situation with continuous additional confirmed cases, we urge all visitors to the cafe during the relevant period to visit the nearest screening clinic immediately and get tested promptly, regardless of whether they have symptoms.”
