[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 13th that it will hold an open recruitment to reorganize the current Urban Planning Committee, whose members' terms expire at the end of this year, responsible for reviewing and advising on urban management plans.
This recruitment is being promoted for more efficient and professional operation in accordance with Article 113 of the "Act on the Planning and Use of National Territory," Article 111 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act, and Article 77 of the "Gwangju Metropolitan City Urban Planning Ordinance."
The recruitment fields include land use, architecture and housing, transportation, environment and green spaces, landscape, disaster prevention, culture and welfare, and applicants must meet the qualification criteria as experts with abundant professional knowledge and practical experience in urban planning-related fields.
However, those who have served two consecutive terms on the Urban Planning Committee or are currently working in the relevant industry within the jurisdiction are excluded from eligibility.
Application documents can be submitted in person or by registered mail to the Urban Planning Division of Gwangju City from the 16th of this month until the 4th of next month.
Selected members will serve for two years starting January next year and will perform roles of review or advice on matters designated by the "Act on the Planning and Use of National Territory" and other laws to be reviewed or advised by the Urban Planning Committee.
