According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 13th, a kindergarten student residing in Ssangchon-dong, Seo-gu, was diagnosed with COVID-19, classified as the 540th confirmed case in the region.

The 540th confirmed case was identified as a contact of the 536th confirmed case in Gwangju.

Health authorities have set up a mobile screening clinic at the kindergarten and are conducting comprehensive testing on 201 staff and students.

All individuals subject to testing have been placed under self-quarantine, and the kindergarten has been temporarily closed.

Currently, COVID-19 cases continue to occur steadily in the Gwangju area, centered around Sangmu District Room Soju Bar and Gwangju Prison.

Regarding Sangmu Room Soju Bar, 206 people were tested, and 8 were confirmed positive.

Regarding Gwangju Prison, 344 people were tested, and 6 were confirmed positive.
