[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] PeterPeter, a genome analysis specialist company for pet disease prevention, announced on the 13th that it won the grand prize in the finals of the 'Jeju Innovation Growth Center ICT Convergence Startup Hub 創-UP (Startup) Korea-China Demo Day.'
PeterPeter participated in the 'Startup Korea-China Demo Day' of the '2020 Startup Festival in Jeju,' jointly hosted by Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) and China from the 9th to the 11th, and won the grand prize in the ICT·AI field.
The organizers explained that the reason for selecting PeterPeter as the grand prize winner was based on a comprehensive evaluation of the item, market prospects, business model, growth plan, and financial risks, concluding that PeterPeter's pet genome analysis service received the highest evaluation among companies participating in the ICT·AI field.
PeterPeter received excellent evaluations from Korean and Chinese expert judges regarding its growth potential in the global market. By winning the grand prize, it was granted an opportunity to enter the Chinese market. PeterPeter will participate as the Korean representative company in the '2020 Startup (創-UP) ICT·AI Forum' held in China on the 18th.
CEO Junho Park said, "Being recognized for unlimited growth potential as a specialized company for pet disease prevention through the eyes of Korean and Chinese experts," and added, "After the official product launch, we will grow into a global bio company."
PeterPeter is a startup company born through the ‘2020 Preliminary Startup Package’ supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. It analyzes the genome of pets to provide disease prevention and customized health management services. It plans to offer professional consulting to manage the entire life of pets.
