Kim Geun-sik "Are the protesters on National Foundation Day murderers, but the protesters at the 11.14 People's Rally democratic citizens?"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-eun] Kim Geun-sik, the head of the People Power Party's Songpa-byeong district committee in Seoul, criticized the government's passive quarantine response by comparing the October 3rd National Foundation Day rally with the upcoming nationwide workers' rally, which is expected to gather 100,000 people across the country on the 14th.

On the 13th, Kim said on his Facebook, "On National Foundation Day, the Gwanghwamun area was a 'hotspot' for the coronavirus, but on November 14th, the Gwanghwamun area seems to be a 'clean zone' for the coronavirus."

He continued, "The anti-government protesters on National Foundation Day were 'carriers' of the coronavirus, but the protesters at the November 14th people's rally must be 'germ-free,'" and criticized, "On National Foundation Day, quarantine took precedence over freedom of assembly and protest, but on November 14th, freedom of assembly and protest seems to take precedence over quarantine."

He also pointed out, "Are the anti-government protesters on National Foundation Day 'murderers,' while the protesters at the November 14th people's rally are 'democratic citizens'?" and questioned, "For the Moon administration, was the National Foundation Day rally subject to total lockdown and random inspections and considered a rampage of murderers, while the November 14th rally is a protected event and a peaceful protest of the people?"

Furthermore, Kim stated, "This is politics of division and hostility that splits the people into two, politics of discrimination and exclusion that favors our side and crushes the other side," and declared, "This is the reason why Trump ultimately fell, and it will also be the reason why the Moon administration will eventually fall."
