[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Bitcoin, the number one cryptocurrency by market capitalization, is showing an upward trend in both domestic and international markets, reaching 17.9 million KRW and 16,200 USD levels.
According to the cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb on the 13th, as of 7:20 AM, Bitcoin recorded 17,914,000 KRW, up 1.44% (254,000 KRW) compared to 24 hours ago. A total of 85.9 billion KRW worth of Bitcoin was traded during the day.
Other cryptocurrencies are showing mixed movements. Litecoin (1.08%), Ethereum (0.69%), Bitcoin Cash (0.53%), and Stellar Lumens (0.32%) are slightly rising, while Tron (-0.36%), Chainlink (-0.22%), and Ripple (-0.21%) are showing slight declines.
At the same time, on Upbit, Bitcoin is trading at 17,919,000 KRW, up 2.75% (480,000 KRW) compared to the previous day.
On Upbit as well, cryptocurrencies are showing mixed movements. Polymath (8.23%) and Bitcoin Cash (0.84%) are rising, while Bitcoin SV (-1.70%), ADA (-1.69%), and Ripple (-1.40%) are falling.
In overseas markets, an upward trend is observed. According to the cryptocurrency market data provider CoinMarketCap, at the same time, Bitcoin was at 16,230.51 USD, up 3.39% compared to 24 hours ago.
Most cryptocurrencies are declining in overseas markets. Chainlink (-3.65%), Polkadot (-2.10%), Binance Coin (-1.75%), and Litecoin (-0.65%) are falling.
