[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Son Ki-ho, a lawyer who was recommended by the People Power Party as the first candidate for the Chief of the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (PCC), has expressed his intention to resign.
On the 10th, Lawyer Son initially accepted the candidacy but reportedly decided to withdraw due to the pressure from increased public attention.
The PCC Chief Candidate Recommendation Committee is scheduled to begin the second meeting on the 13th and proceed with the candidate evaluation.
