The Korean Red Cross commendation plaque is awarded to administrative institutions, fundraising committee members, and sponsoring members who have contributed to the collection of Red Cross dues, as well as representatives of institutions with outstanding achievements in the development of Red Cross humanitarian projects.
In March, the Office of Education raised 4,733,000 KRW for vulnerable groups affected by infectious diseases and donated it to the Korean Red Cross. In July, it held the ‘Beautiful Day’ event together with the Beautiful Store Mokpo Original Downtown Branch, donating all proceeds to support vulnerable groups.
In August, more than 100 employees visited the sites damaged by the heavy rains in the Jeonnam region to participate in emergency restoration work, practicing the spirit of community solidarity and cooperation and Red Cross humanitarianism.
Superintendent Jang Seok-woong said, “I express my gratitude to the residents and education family who actively participated in sharing and donating despite the unprecedented crisis of COVID-19 this year,” and added, “We will continue to pay attention and make efforts to practice a culture of sharing.”
