[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City announced that it is recruiting students for the Youth Hope School One-Day Class until the 27th.
Youth Hope School is a project where local youth with diverse experiences and professional capabilities become department operators and directly plan and operate the departments. The existing regular departments have been operating since mid-September.
The newly launched One-Day Classes will be held three times each from the 11th to the 1st of next month, across six departments, with each lecture lasting two hours per session.
The One-Day Classes include △ Creating PPT in a short time △ ‘Master in a Day’ One-Day Acoustic Guitar Course △ Rattan Craft using Rattan Kits △ Sparkling and Shining Youth Dream Center Classroom (Resin Craft) △ Single Life Interior Decoration with Calligraphy △ Psychology through Drawing.
The education is open to any youth aged 18 to 39 residing in Gwangyang City. Each department session will recruit 5 to 10 people on a first-come, first-served basis, and sessions with fewer than 5 applicants may be canceled.
Youth wishing to participate can apply for up to two departments per person, but can attend only one session out of the three offered per department.
If selected as a department student, material costs up to 50,000 KRW will be supported, and tuition is free.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the announcements or notices on the Gwangyang City website, filling it out, and sending it along with related documents (consent form for collection and use of personal information, resident registration abstract, etc.) via email.
Seo Yoon-kyung, head of the Youth Policy Team, said, “We expect more youth to use the Gwangyang Youth Dream Center through short-term courses,” and added, “We will spare no effort in various programs and support projects to make visits to the Youth Dream Center natural and to encourage active participation in youth policies.”
