Mando Accelerates Mobility Solution Collaboration with Amazon Web Services

[Asia Economy Reporter Su-yeon Woo] Mando, a specialized automotive parts company, and Amazon Web Services (hereinafter AWS), a cloud computing service company, are accelerating the discovery of new businesses in the mobility solutions sector.


According to the automotive industry on the 10th, Mando is utilizing cloud services provided by AWS in areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, big data analytics, and remote computing. Data collected and analyzed through various devices and apps is being used to develop optimal solutions, and the dedicated new business organization, 'WG Campus,' is fully committed to commercialization.


Previously, Mando and AWS began their collaboration with the 'H2Care' service. H2Care is a mobility service application that connects hydrogen charging stations and hydrogen vehicle drivers. App users can check the overall operational status and business information of hydrogen charging stations nationwide through H2Care, and since September 28, AWS's deep learning (video AI) technology has been applied to identify vehicles waiting at charging stations.

Additionally, Mando is working with AWS to implement functions for remotely controlling and monitoring various mobility devices. The development of the autonomous patrol robot 'Goli' is the first case. Goli, which conducted pilot patrols at Baegot Life Park in Siheung, received official approval for operation on the 4th of this month. Going forward, the two companies plan to create various cloud-based services related to personal mobility devices.

Meanwhile, Mando plans to open cases of mobility solution collaboration that combine IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence at the 'AWS Cloud Week - Industry Edition,' which will be held from today until the 13th.
