BMW Successfully Concludes 'Joy Invitational' Golf Tournament Linking Online and Offline Events

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] BMW Korea successfully concluded the online-offline linked golf tournament 'BMW Joy Invitational' on the 10th.


The BMW Joy Invitational is a pure amateur customer golf tournament held by BMW Korea to commemorate the launch of the industry's first lifestyle platform, 'BMW Vantage.' The online preliminaries, held through screen golf until the 25th of last month, saw a total of 707 customers participate in fierce competition. The finals were held on the 9th of this month with an actual round at the 'Sagewood CC Hongcheon' field in Gangwon-do.


As a result of the competition, Mr. Joh Han-bae from Men's Group 5 and Ms. Lim Jeong-sook from Women's Group 10 took first place, while Mr. Han Dong-woon from Men's Group 5 and Ms. Jeong Hae-jeong from Women's Group 10 took second place. Ms. Lim Jeong-sook, who won first place in the women's category, expressed her gratitude, saying, "I sincerely thank BMW Korea for hosting the tournament on such a beautiful course under great weather conditions."

Attracting great interest with abundant prizes from the preliminaries, the tournament awarded the first-place winners in both men's and women's categories with a 1-night 2-day pro-am participation ticket to the only domestic LPGA tournament, 'BMW Ladies Championship (BLC) 2021,' along with a BMW golf bag and a Titleist iron set.


The second-place winners in both men's and women's categories received a 1-night 2-day viewing ticket to BLC 2021, a BMW golf bag, and a Titleist driver. Additionally, the longest drive and nearest to the pin winners were awarded a Titleist driver and wedge, respectively, which received enthusiastic responses from participants. Furthermore, all participation fees paid by the finalists will be donated to society through the BMW Korea Future Foundation.


Meanwhile, 'BMW Vantage,' launched for the first time in Korea by the BMW Group, is the automotive industry's first lifestyle platform presenting a new paradigm of premium partnership services.
