[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] Hanwha Solutions conducted its regular executive personnel appointments on the 10th, including the promotion of Executive Director Ryu Seong-ju to Vice President. In this round of appointments, a total of 23 people were promoted, including 2 Executive Directors, 6 Managing Directors, and 14 Deputy Managing Directors along with Vice President Ryu.
This year's appointments were made earlier than usual to resolve uncertainties and strengthen new businesses amid the global energy industry's upheaval caused by the spread of COVID-19 and the continued low oil price environment.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Hanwha Energy (2 promotees), Hanwha General Chemical (2 promotees), and Hanwha Total (8 promotees) also conducted their regular executive personnel appointments. The total number of promotees in the chemical and energy affiliates within Hanwha Group this year is 35.
