Gangnam-gu Opens Promotional Booth for '2020 Korea Job Expo'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will open the ‘Gangnam-gu Job Promotion Center’ at the ‘2020 Korea Job Expo’ held at COEX in Samseong-dong on the 10th and 11th, introducing Gangnam-style job policies.

Hosted by the Presidential Committee on Jobs and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the ‘2020 Korea Job Expo’ is held under the theme ‘Korean New Deal Jobs, Leading from the Regions.’

The district will introduce its fully district-funded Small and Medium Enterprise Youth Internship Program and Trade Master Global Expert Training Program both online and offline, and promote the Gangnam Startup Center and style brand ‘ME ME WE Gangnam.’

In addition, product exhibitions and technology demonstrations will be held featuring excellent local startups such as ▲ Robotree (educational paper robots) ▲ CleanC (energy protection film) ▲ Lululab (AI-based skin analysis solution) ▲ Allganize (natural language recognition AI response bot).

Seo Won-hee, head of the Job Policy Division, said, “Although this is a difficult time for everyone due to COVID-19, this expo will be an opportunity to explore the role of local governments in the success of the ‘Korean New Deal.’ We will strive to develop specialized personnel needed in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and prepare projects that can match local jobs.”
