On the same day, Hong said on Facebook, "With the departure of President Trump, who was a key figure in the disguised peace drama, the Biden Democratic candidate, who prioritizes systemic politics and human rights, is coming."

Hong emphasized, "Over the past four years, denuclearization has not advanced even a step, and rather, the Moon Jae-in administration has encouraged and furthered North Korea's nuclear development. Now it is time for the people to pass judgment."

Hong added, "The opposition parties should unite and strive together," and said, "Let us drive out the era of disguise and lies on the Korean Peninsula and open a new era where truth, justice, and fairness prevail."
