Recently, a series of accidents caused by drunk drivers in their 20s occurred in Gwangju.

According to the Gwangju Bukbu Police Station on the 5th, a driver who crashed into three parked cars in a row on a road in Buk-gu, Gwangju, at around 10:23 p.m. the previous day was caught at the scene.

At the time of the arrest, the blood alcohol concentration of the driver in his 20s, identified as A, was reportedly at the level warranting license cancellation. He was driving in a state of intoxication.

On the same day, at around 1:49 a.m., an accident occurred on a road in Nam-gu, Gwangju, where a rear car waiting at a signal was hit by the front car reversing.

Police investigation revealed that the 20-year-old driver B, who was in the front car, put the car in reverse gear and pressed the accelerator. B was found to have been driving under the influence at the time.

The police have booked them on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act and are investigating the exact circumstances of the incidents.
