Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education to Hold Written Exam for Kindergarten, Elementary, and Special Education Teacher Appointments on the 7th ... "Masks Must Be Worn"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 5th that the first round of the 2021 Public Kindergarten, Elementary School, and Special School Teacher Candidate Selection Competitive Examination will be held on the 7th at Daegu Dong Middle School.

The exam subjects are as follows: 1st period - Teaching Essay, 2nd period - Curriculum A, and 3rd period - Curriculum B. The first period is essay type, and the 2nd and 3rd periods are short answer types (fill-in-the-blank, descriptive).

A total of 590 applicants (138 positions to be filled) applied for the first round, recording an average competition rate of 4.28 to 1. The number of candidates who pass the first round will be 1.5 times the number of positions to be filled, and the results will be announced on December 9th on the Office of Education’s website.

Applicants under COVID-19 self-quarantine will take the exam at a separate testing site upon request. For general examinees, those who show COVID-19 symptoms such as fever or respiratory symptoms on the exam day can take the exam in a separate room within the general testing site.

A Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education official emphasized, "Entry to the exam site and participation in the exam may be restricted if quarantine rules are not followed (such as not wearing a mask), so special attention is required."
