[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Maserati officially launches the ‘Royale Edition,’ limited to 100 units worldwide, in Korea on the 5th.
The Royale Edition is a special edition first introduced in 1986, based on the third-generation Quattroporte model. It is characterized by its unique blue and green exterior colors and a luxurious interior featuring wood materials that differentiate it from the standard model. This limited edition was specially produced in only 51 units for a select few customers, including famous personalities of the time. Notably, it was a model cherished by Luciano Pavarotti, Italy’s greatest opera singer of the 20th century and a passionate Maserati fan.
The newly introduced 2020 Royale Edition recreates the elegance of the 1986 Royale Edition while perfectly blending the delicate design and artistic harmony of modern Maserati. The exterior comes in two colors: Blue Royale, embodying the strength and leisure of the Italian Mediterranean, and Verde Royale, a green shade that highlights dignity and prestige.
The interior was crafted by Maserati’s long-time partner and Italy’s top luxury brand, Ermenegildo Zegna. It features Pelletesta leather, made by cross-weaving high-quality lightweight Napa leather strips, showcasing the pinnacle of luxury interiors befitting the Royale Edition name. Additionally, a limited edition dedication badge placed at the center console further amplifies the exclusivity and sophistication of the Royale Edition.
The Royale Edition, limited to 100 units worldwide, is allocated 16 units in Korea: 6 Quattroporte, 4 Ghibli, and 6 Levante, sold on a first-come, first-served basis. ▲The Quattroporte GranLusso Royale Edition features high-gloss black piano wood trim, silver brake calipers, 21-inch Titano silver wheels, priced at 184.8 million KRW; ▲The Ghibli GranLusso Royale Edition includes high-gloss ebony wood trim, luxurious silver brake calipers, 21-inch Titano silver wheels, priced at 141.2 million KRW; ▲The Levante GranLusso Royale Edition boasts high-gloss metal net trim with a three-dimensional pattern, silver brake calipers, 21-inch Anteo gloss black wheels, priced at 158.5 million KRW.
