[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] The Associated Press reported on the 4th (local time) that Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential candidate, won against President Donald Trump in the state of Wisconsin.
The agency stated that Biden reclaimed the 'Blue Wall' in the battleground state of Wisconsin, which he had lost to Trump four years ago. CNN also projected that Biden would win in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin is part of the northern 'Rust Belt' and, along with Michigan and Pennsylvania, had been a Democratic stronghold, but in the 2016 presidential election, it chose President Trump.
With 98% of the votes counted in Wisconsin, Biden holds 49.4% of the vote, leading President Trump by 0.6 percentage points.
Meanwhile, the Trump campaign plans to request a recount in Wisconsin.
