Nexen Tire Speed Racing Rounds 3 and 4 to be Held on the 17th and 18th

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The '2020 Nexen Tire Speed Racing' rounds 3 and 4, sponsored by Nexen Tire, will hold double round races on the 17th and 18th at Taebaek Speedway located in Taebaek City, Gangwon Province.

The Nexen Speed Racing competition is the largest racing event in Korea, with Nexen Tire serving as the main sponsor for 15 years since 2006.

The upcoming races, round 3 on the 17th and round 4 on the 18th, will consist of morning qualifying sessions and afternoon final races. A total of 9 classes and about 160 vehicles will compete.

To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), this round, like the previous one, will be held without spectators. The 3rd and 4th rounds will also be operated with thorough quarantine procedures including continuous temperature checks, venue disinfection, and mandatory mask-wearing.

The event will be broadcast live online for four hours from 12:30 PM on both days starting the 17th through digital channels such as Naver Sports, KakaoTV, and YouTube Live. The final 5th round of the 2020 Nexen Tire Speed Racing is scheduled to be held next month.
