According to Pohang City on the 2nd, a person in their 70s living in Nam-gu tested positive for COVID-19 on the previous day (the 1st), becoming the 103rd confirmed case in the Pohang area. This confirmed case is believed to have come into contact with a person in their 50s (the 100th case) who tested positive on the 30th.
Regarding the 100th confirmed case, it was revealed that they had contact with confirmed cases related to a senior citizens' gathering room (Pogyo-won) in Pohang (cases 79 and 88), indicating that the nth generation infections related to the Pohang senior citizens' gathering room are continuing.
Meanwhile, in Pohang, similar to Gyeongju, confirmed cases have been reported almost daily since the confirmed case of an attendee at the Chilgok wild ginseng (Jangnoe-sam) business briefing on the 11th.
