원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Reporter Hana Na] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized Yoo Si-min, chairman of the People’s Life Foundation and former labor activist, for his YouTube comeback by saying, "Just do what you were doing. Don’t do book reviews that don’t suit you," adding, "It seems he thinks he still has more to ruin."
On the 22nd, Jin posted on his Facebook about Yoo’s return to YouTube with "book reviews instead of political commentary," sarcastically stating, "Just do what you were doing. Book reviews don’t suit you. Daekkaemun (a derogatory slang term for blind supporters of President Moon Jae-in) and books are incompatible. If you had the brain to read books in the first place, would you be a Daekkaemun now?"
Jin and Yoo politically parted ways after the Cho Kuk incident. On January 7th, Yoo directly announced his political split from Jin on the Arileo YouTube broadcast, saying, "Our views on the Cho Kuk incident diverged. Even breakups require skill. It’s best to part ways with maximum respect."
Yoo plans to end his political commentary YouTube broadcast and start a new season called "Arileo 3" after Chuseok. As before, Yoo and lawyer Jo Su-jin will lead the broadcast. The content will be conducted in a format where experts related to books are invited for discussions.
