Sejong University Ranks 9th in South Korea in the '2021 THE World University Rankings'

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Sejong University announced on the 4th that it ranked 9th domestically, rising one step from last year, in the '2021 World University Rankings' published by the UK higher education evaluation agency THE (Times Higher Education). Excluding research-oriented universities, it ranked 6th among comprehensive universities in Korea and entered the 301-350 range in the global university rankings. THE World University Rankings evaluate 1,527 universities in 93 countries worldwide to determine the rankings. The evaluation is conducted annually based on five criteria: educational environment, research performance, and citation impact each accounting for 30%, internationalization 7.5%, and industry income 2.5%. Sejong University was highly recognized for ranking 2nd domestically in citation impact.
