[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seulgi Sung] The Gwangju Cultural Foundation announced on the 13th that it will screen the play "Yeoja Manse" as part of the SAC on Screen program at 7:30 PM on the 19th at the Bitgoeul Art Space Small Theater.
The Seoul Arts Center's video project "SAC on Screen" features ultra-high-definition footage filmed from various angles using more than ten 4K cameras.
It vividly conveys the artists' facial expressions and gestures, which cannot be seen from the audience seats, along with high-quality sound to the viewers.
This screening is of a work that held a production presentation last December and was performed as an original play at the Seoul Arts Center Free Small Theater until February. It stars familiar actors such as Seong Byeongsuk, Kim Yongseon, and Ha Seongmin.
The play is a slapstick comedy about a pure and devoted daughter-in-law living with a strict mother-in-law, whose life is turned upside down when a 70-year-old grandmother lodger moves in. Through this uncomfortable cohabitation, the story unfolds about discrimination and sacrifice that any Korean woman can relate to.
Admission is free and suitable for viewers aged 8 and above.
Reservations can be made on the Culture N Ticket website, and on the day of the screening, 25 mobile tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis starting at midnight.
Meanwhile, the Gwangju Cultural Foundation's Bitgoeul Citizen Culture Center is checking for symptoms such as fever upon entry in compliance with social distancing and quarantine guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Viewing may be restricted if masks are not worn.
The next screening will be the ballet performance video "La Bayad?re," which will be shown at 7:30 PM on the 25th at the Bitgoeul Citizen Culture Center.
