[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A promotional center where you can explore various aspects of the Busan North Port redevelopment project has opened.

Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced on the 13th that it will open the "Busan North Port Redevelopment Promotional Center" and begin full-scale operations from the end of August to increase public understanding and interest in the first phase of the Busan North Port redevelopment project.

The promotional center, created on the 5th floor of the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal with an area of approximately 100 pyeong, exhibits graphic materials showing the background and achievements of the North Port redevelopment project.

Various contents such as a scaled model of the future vision of North Port and interactive videos are presented. Starting with the opening ceremony on August 12, it will welcome the general public from the end of August.

For international passenger terminal users and visitors, a resting area has been created where they can relax while overlooking the North Port scenery, linked with plans to revitalize the passenger terminal.

To overcome the social and economic difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic together, Busan Port Authority plans to purchase reusable and breathable masks with all proceeds from the production of commemorative gifts for the promotional center opening and conduct a "mask support event" for vulnerable elderly people through the Busan City Foundation for the Welfare of the Elderly Living Alone.

Nam Ki-chan, president of BPA, said, "The promotional center will greatly contribute to the revitalization of North Port by presenting the main directions of the redevelopment project, the changes and development of Busan Port, and the 2030 future vision."
