[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ki-woon] Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced that it has joined the ‘Love Blood Donation Campaign’ to resolve the blood supply shortage caused by the cancellation of group blood donations and the decrease in individual donors due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

This blood donation event took place on the 10th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in front of Sinan-gun Office, where a mobile blood donation vehicle was stationed, with participation from county office employees and local residents.

To prevent COVID-19 infection, participants underwent temperature checks and hand sanitization, and infection prevention guidelines were strictly followed. The number of donors was staggered by time slots inside the blood donation vehicle.

Participants received health check services including tests for hepatitis B and C, as well as 4 hours of volunteer service credit and a small gift.

A Sinan-gun official stated, “The prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant difficulties in securing blood supply. We will continue to actively participate in blood donation to help neighbors whose health is threatened by blood shortages.”
