Lock&Lock Glass, No.1 in Consumer Well-being Environment Satisfaction Index for Airtight Containers

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Lock&Lock announced on the 22nd that its glass containers were selected as the number one product in the kitchen airtight container category in the ‘2020 Consumer Well-being Environment Satisfaction Index’ organized by the Korea Standards Association.

Lock&Lock glass containers are made of premium heat-resistant glass material that can withstand temperatures from -20℃ to 400℃. They have been certified for safety by obtaining the oven and hot water heat-resistant glassware KS certification (KS L2424) from the Korea Standards Association (KSA). With excellent cold and heat resistance, they can be safely used in refrigerators and freezers as well as for hot water sterilization, double boiling, air fryers, ovens, and other high-temperature applications, making them highly versatile.

In 2007, Lock&Lock launched Lock&Lock Glass, a safe heat-resistant glass material that is lighter than tempered glass and free from spontaneous breakage (the phenomenon where glass breaks on its own).

The ‘Lock&Lock Barohan-kki’ released last month is a glass container dedicated to rice, the staple of meals, designed for convenient meal preparation. It consists of two types: the ‘Freshly Cooked Rice Container’ for the whole family and the ‘First Baby Food Container’ for babies at the weaning stage. The product allows portioning and storing rice in single servings, which can be easily reheated whenever needed to prepare a meal. It is highly versatile and safe to use from the freezer to the microwave, oven, and double boiling without the risk of breaking. The rice container has a 10% larger capacity than before, so rice can be stored without pressing it down, preserving the chewy texture of the grains. The baby food container features volume markings on the surface according to the baby’s age in months, making it easy to measure and track the amount fed to the child. There is a silicone handle extending from the lid to the upper body, allowing safe handling of the hot glass container after cooking. Additionally, the lid has a steam hole that controls moisture, maintaining the moist texture of the contents, which is a distinctive feature.

Meanwhile, to celebrate being ranked first in the 2020 Consumer Well-being Environment Satisfaction Index, Lock&Lock will hold a customer appreciation event next month at directly operated stores such as Place LL. Depending on the purchase amount, customers will receive Lock&Lock products such as knife and cutting board sterilization blocks and various cooking utensils as gifts.
