Providing Banyan Tree Group's Cassia hotel brand and operation system
The hotel ‘Cassia,’ operated by the global resort brand ‘Banyan Tree Group,’ will now be available in Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do.
Master No. 88 Sokcho PFV Co., Ltd. announced that it signed a business agreement with the global hotel group Banyan Tree on the 10th to entrust the operation of Cassia Sokcho.
Through this agreement, Banyan Tree Group will provide technology and design services, operational systems, and take charge of the entrusted operation for the development of the Cassia hotel brand products.
Banyan Tree Group is a world-renowned luxury hotel and resort chain operating hotels and resorts in 47 locations across 24 countries worldwide. Following a localized growth strategy, it is currently undertaking 46 new projects. The diverse portfolio of Banyan Tree Group, consisting of hotels, resorts, spas, galleries, golf courses, and residences, is focused on five award-winning brands (Banyan Tree, Angsana, Cassia, Dhawa, Laguna).
Domestically, it operates the ‘Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul,’ which has established itself as the top luxury urban resort, and the Cassia brand is being introduced for the first time in Korea. Cassia is currently operating in Bintan, Indonesia, and Phuket, Thailand, with ongoing agreements for operations in Jeju, Manila, and China.
A representative of Master No. 88 Sokcho PFV Co., Ltd. stated, “Since the opening of the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway in 2017, the number of tourists to Gangwon-do has been steadily increasing, and we have become the first business partner with the global hotel and resort company Banyan Tree Group in the region.” They added, “We plan to introduce luxurious designs and facilities tailored to customers who use high-end brand hotels and will do our best to make it a premium hotel representing Sokcho.”
Meanwhile, the project is located at 937 Daepo-dong, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do, with a total floor area of 120,175㎡, consisting of 2 basement floors and 26 above-ground floors, and a total of 717 rooms. Due to its location adjacent to Daepo Port sea, all rooms offer unobstructed sea views, each room includes a balcony, and indoor hinoki pools are installed inside the rooms to allow guests to relax while enjoying the sea view. Auxiliary facilities will include a banquet hall with about 400 seats, an infinity pool, and a luxury spa and sauna utilizing 1,000-meter deep underground mineral water.
For project promotion, the Cassia Sokcho lounge will be set up at 85-4 Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in the Designer Club Building, and pre-promotion activities to introduce Banyan Tree Group’s Cassia brand will be launched.
