[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] The Gyeongnam Office of Education announced on the 17th that it held the ‘Gyeongnam 1st Grade Classroom Space Innovation Workshop’ at the Jinhae Yi Sun-sin Leadership International Center.


This workshop is a project promoted since 2020 in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s operation of the ‘Elementary 1st Grade Parent Reassurance Grade System,’ attended by about 60 people including 36 target school staff and education support office personnel, as well as 16 interior architects.


The workshop included a special lecture by Kang Woo-tae, CEO of La Jua Korea, on the theme of ‘Colors Suitable for the Developmental Stage of 1st Graders,’ explaining the direction and process of the elementary 1st grade classroom space innovation project. Architect Hong Kyung-sook also gave a special lecture on the theme of ‘Cases of 1st Grade Classroom Space Innovation.’


Kim Tae-gyun, Director of the Education Innovation Promotion Team, said, “The 1st grade classroom space innovation project is not simply an environmental improvement project, but will apply a space innovation process involving user-participatory design, curriculum linkage, and facilitator participation.” He added, “We will do our best to create a comfortable and safe 1st grade classroom environment so that parents can feel reassured when sending their children to school.”
