At Least 4 Dead in Explosion at Afghan Islamic Mosque

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jaehee] On the 12th (local time), an explosive device detonated at a mosque (Islamic temple) in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, resulting in the deaths of more than four people.

According to the Afghan Ministry of Interior, the explosion occurred during Friday prayers at the Sir Shaesuri Mosque in western Kabul.

Tarik Arian, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, stated, "More than four people have died from this explosion, and dozens of casualties have been reported."

The perpetrator behind this explosive attack has not yet been identified.
