[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] Due to lockdown measures caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the UK economy shrank by more than 20% in April.
The UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) announced on the 12th (local time) that the gross domestic product (GDP) in April decreased by 20.4% compared to the previous month.
This is the largest monthly GDP decline on record.
