원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The cluster infection of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) that began at a health product promotion and sales center in Gwanak-gu continues to spread.
As of midnight on the 12th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul reached 1,073. This is an increase of 25 cases compared to midnight the previous day.
Among the new confirmed cases, 17 were classified as related to Richway, a health product door-to-door sales company. So far, the total number of confirmed cases related to Richway nationwide has reached 134, of which 78 are in Seoul.
Among other confirmed cases, one case each increased related to overseas contact, Yangcheon-gu table tennis hall, Bucheon City Coupang, and KB Life Insurance, while the infection routes of the remaining four cases are still under investigation.
Accordingly, among the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul to date, 680 patients have been declared recovered and discharged, and 389 are currently receiving isolation treatment.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government has dispatched immediate response teams to each district where confirmed cases have occurred to conduct additional contact tracing and monitor those under self-quarantine.
