[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province reported person A, who left their quarantine location without permission during self-isolation, on the 21st. Person A is the first case in Seongnam City to wear an Anshim Band.

Person A was designated as a self-quarantine subject after arriving at Incheon Airport from the United States on the 7th and was supposed to remain in quarantine until the 21st. However, it was revealed that they visited a restaurant and a billiard hall twice on the 17th and 19th.

The city, adhering to a zero-tolerance policy, required Person A to wear the Anshim Band on the 20th and reported them to the police on the 21st for violating the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.

A representative from the Bundang-gu Public Health Center stated, "In cases of unauthorized departure during self-quarantine, we plan to hold individuals strictly accountable through legal action and claims for damages," and urged, "Self-quarantine subjects must strictly follow quarantine rules to prevent the spread of infection."

Under the current Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act, violators of self-quarantine measures face "imprisonment of up to one year or a fine of up to 10 million won," and those who refuse, obstruct, or evade epidemiological investigations, provide false statements, or intentionally omit or conceal facts face "imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to 20 million won."
