[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] The construction project of the Boseong Complex Community Center, aimed for completion in 2022, is progressing smoothly as site preparation has begun.
According to Boseong County on the 14th, the county secured a budget of 70 billion KRW last year through the Life SOC Complex Project linked with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, gaining momentum in promoting key urban strategic projects during the 7th local government term.
Out of the secured 70 billion KRW project budget, 41 billion KRW will be invested in the Boseong Complex Community Center. The design service contract was signed through a design competition held in early December last year, and site preparation for the start of construction is currently underway. Full-scale construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2021.
The Boseong Complex Community Center, to be built with two basement floors and four above-ground floors, will be equipped with cultural and leisure infrastructure for local residents, including a public parking lot, a living culture center, a small library, and a family center.
County Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “We will complete this Life SOC Complex Project within my term and make it a hub of the local economy and a mecca of cultural life for residents, thereby improving the quality of life for county residents and creating a vibrant Boseong.”
